🌿 Our Vision for Indian Snacking: Delicious, Clean, and Local

It’s time Indian snacks got the love (and respect) they deserve.

Ask someone what India’s most iconic snacks are, and you’ll hear a flurry of names — bhujia, chivda, chakli, mathri, sev, farsan.
Every state has its own classics. Every home its own favourite.

But somewhere in the chaos of mass manufacturing and palm oil shortcuts, the story got blurry. The flavours? They stayed. But the feeling? It faded.

We’re here to bring it all back.

The Taste That Raised Us

Let’s start with the obvious: Indian snacks are unmatched in variety, depth, and soul.
No other country has this kind of flavour catalogue — tangy, spicy, sweet, sour, fried, puffed, roasted, fermented.

This is food that was perfected in homes, not labs. Passed down, not manufactured.

But over time, something happened. In trying to make them cheaper, faster, and longer-lasting, we lost the plot. The recipes got diluted. The ingredients got questionable. And our stomachs? They paid the price.

So we asked: what if we didn’t compromise?

Delicious, First. Always.

At Patang, taste comes first — not protein counts or calorie guilt.
We’re not here to give you "diet" namkeen. We’re here to give you damn good snacks that happen to be made the right way.

That means:
✅ Recipes that honour their roots
✅ Ingredients that are real and responsibly sourced
✅ Spices that hit just right — not like lab-made masala powder
✅ No palm oil, no unnecessary preservatives, no shortcuts

Because if it doesn’t taste like your best memory of it — what’s the point?

Clean Doesn’t Mean Boring

Clean snacking isn’t a trend for us — it’s table stakes.

We don’t use palm oil. Not because it's trendy to say so, but because it hurts. We’ve lived the acid reflux. The sluggishness. The regret.
We said no to what’s easy, and yes to what’s better — even if it meant higher costs, longer timelines, and hours of R&D.

We obsess over the small things:

  • How was the red chilli dried?

  • What farm did this ajwain come from?

  • Is this besan roasted just right?

Because your body deserves better than just “snackable.”
It deserves care.

Local, Always.

We don’t centralize production. We go to the source.

If it’s Tapioca Chips, it’s made in Bangalore.
If it’s Peanut Chikki, it’s made in Kovillpatti.

Why? Because origin matters.
The air, the water, the halwai’s hand — it all plays a role.
This is not just about geography. It's about integrity.

When we say “made with love,” we mean it literally — by people who’ve been making these snacks for generations.

Local production means freshness. It means dignity for craft.
And it means every bite tells a story — not just of flavour, but of place.

We’re Dreaming Bigger (With You)

We don’t want to be the biggest namkeen brand in India.
We want to be the most loved.

A brand you trust because you know what’s inside the pack.
A snack you share not just because it tastes good, but because it feels good.
A company that builds slow, steady, and with soul.

So when we say our vision is “Delicious, Clean, and Local” — it’s not a marketing line. It’s our compass.

It’s why we started.
And it’s where we’re going.
